Surveys
One of the key components of Board strategic planning is seeking input from the school’s stakeholders
- parents
- staff
- students
- business community
A valuable mechanism for obtaining input is through the use of surveys.
Effective surveys, producing useful input to planning are a challenge to develop, distribute, collate and analyse.
Governance Management Strategists (GMS) have managed a wide range of surveys – dealing with information needs of schools, school Boards.
We have surveyed staff to help Principals deal with resourcing and personnel needs and expectations. We have surveyed parents and caregivers to determine the expectations of parents with children currently at the school, and those who are considering enrolling their children.
We have also conducted surveys of other interested groups within the community who are impacted by the school.
We can provide input to your survey through;
- Guiding you on how to structure the survey
- Helping you to construct the questions
- Gathering the data and analyzing the output
- Developing a conclusion and summary.
Often, it is useful to provide brief but more regular surveys in order to obtain quick comments as part of the Board’s consultation process.
GMS also has the means to provide online Internet and email surveys. These enable surveys to be undertaken more quickly and inexpensively.
